If you want to have your presence in India , you cant just ignore India's security concerns . Google might have understood this and now they have finally agreed to talk with indian officials . Google Earth was criticized a lot for showing strategic indian locations which are considered as soft targets for terrorist attacks which includes parliament .
The Indian government has often expressed concern that the information provided on Google Earth could be misused by terrorists and India’s enemies. The easy availability online of detailed maps of countries from services such as Google Earth can be misused by terrorists, India's President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam said as early as 2005.
Google's orkut was also criticized for ignoring public outcry over hate-india communities . One of them was "i hate india" started by a group of pakistanis which was shut for few days but now it is online again . Orkut was almost on the verge of getting banned .
