I was trying to see how Gmail and other application's mobile version looks . As i have a very expensive GPRS so i didnt wanted to access those sites using it . So while searching for its solution , i came across this . This wonderful plugin allows you to access mobile sites easily in Firefox itself . So you dont need to install any extra bit of software or some WML Browser .

Very recently , One of my uncle lost over Rs.5,000 in a internet fraud , it's really sad that people ignore even small small precautions while dealing with money on net . Buying,selling and even banking is extremely safe on internet unless and untill you keep few tips in mind . So , i am now sharing few quick tips on safe internet banking or buying or any kind of money exchange Plus few general tips to save yourself from internet credit card thieves .

1. Never ever use your credit card in public cyber cafes .
   
2. Don't share your credit card number with one .
   
3. Whenever you buy anything from anywhere with your credit card please let the credit card processing happen in front of your eyes only . The person may note your credit card no. and use it for internet shopping .
   
4. Avoid using your credit card on not-so-popular sites .
5. Whenever you decide to use credit card on site , just check if there is any 'Lock' symbol on your address bar of your browser or at bottom-right corner .
6. Never click on any link in mails that clams to be are from ebay,paypal or some bank . If the mail asks to for some clarification . Go to your account on that site but by typing that site's web address yourself , not by clicking on the link given in the mail .
   
7. Please always bear in mind that any legal banking site never asks your personal information on email .
   
8. Be careful from mails that says that they need some help from you to encash some family's property and they will share its part with you , on your financial help . They are 99.99% fake mails . But yeah , you can always talk to them if you want to have some fun . Once i carried on similar mail exchange with an nigerian girl for more than a month . I wish i would have saved that mails , it would have been excellent post for blog .
   
9. And avoid using paying in advance to unknown shops unless there is some guarntee .

They have something in common , their music player are built in flash and whenever their is some flash involved . The music is being loaded from a file which is first loaded in that flash player . hi friends , today i want to tell something about RSS feeds to dummies . And by dummies i dont mean fools , dummies are those who just don't know know about this topic . First , what is this RSS , many of you must have seen icons like above .

RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts.

Users of RSS content use programs called feed 'readers' or 'aggregators': the user 'subscribes' to a feed by supplying to their reader a link to the feed; the reader can then check the user's subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content since the last time it checked, and if so, retrieve that content and present it to the user.

Ok , so how can you use it . You need a feed reader for using RSS . There are many many feed reders available in the market , most of them are free . I will discuss only the google here . Google Reader is an excellent tool for using RSS feeds . Go to www.google.com/reader . If you are a first time user , you need select your preferences , how you want see your RSS feeds . Now , on next page . You can see a small option of "add a subscription" . Try foxytech.blogspot.com in it . Volla ! Done . Now whenever you will visit your google reader , you can see the new posts on foxytech.blogspot.com rightaway on your google reader . Right now , there are millions of websites which have a option of RSS feeds , infact you can find this feeds on every blogspot and wordpress powered websites . The best way to know if your a site has a rss feed or not is to see the RSS icon on the address bar . You can also subscribe to site's RSS feed by using firefox . I will also advise you to set google reader as your rss reader via firefox permanently . Go to tools->options->rss and set google reader

GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google Gmail account, allowing you to use Gmail as a storage medium.

GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google Gmail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your Gmail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.

Ever since Google started to offer users a Gmail e-mail account, which includes storage space of 2000 megabytes, you have had plenty of storage space but not a lot to fill it up with. With GMail Drive you can easily copy files to your Gmail account and retrieve them again.
When you create a new file using GMail Drive, it generates an e-mail and posts it to your account. The e-mail appears in your normal Inbox folder, and the file is attached as an e-mail attachment. GMail Drive periodically checks your mail account (using the Gmail search function) to see if new files have arrived and to rebuild the directory structures. But basically GMail Drive acts as any other hard-drive installed on your computer.
You can copy files to and from the GMail Drive folder simply by using drag'n'drop like you're used to with the normal Explorer folders.

Because the Gmail files will clutter up your Inbox folder, you may wish to create a filter in Gmail to automatically move the files (prefixed with the GMAILFS letters in the subject) to your archived mail folder.

Please note that GMail Drive is still an experimental tool. There's still a number of limitations of the file-system (such as total filename size must be less than 65 characters). Since the tool hooks up with the free Gmail Service provided by Google, changes in the Gmail system may break the tool's ability to function. I cannot guarantee that files stored in this manner will be accessible in the future.

The no. of daily unique visitors are goin up day by day now , this is really very inspiring . I hope you enjoyed my previous posts . If u enjoyed and even if u didn’t please let me know your comments and suggestions .

Now back to the main topic . This article is for dummies. And dummies doesn’t mean fools . Making your own personalized email addressee is as easy opening a gmail account if you know the correct way .

Just follow these simple steps :

1. Ok first you have to buy a domain. If possible buy from a local source , don’t go for big players . If don’t know anybody you can go for GODADDY.com , they offer reasonably cheap domains . You can buy .info for 1$ . I recently bought one from a delhi(new friends colony) based firm for Rs.349/. You can contact me for details . You will receive your host settings where you can change the name servers . BTW you can also buy domain from google at 10$.
   
2. Now you have to point your name server to some dns control . You can try http://www.opendns.com . It is a good one. If you also have host ready to put your site up , you can point your name servers to it . In opendns case : your name server should 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 . Open an account there and add your site to it . This takes around 10-30 hours to setup completely .
3. Now , go to http://google.com/a/ , open an account , add your website . You need to verify that you are the owner of that domain . For this you have 2 option :

i) change your domain cname setting according to google one (google will tell you about the settings to implement )

ii) If you are also hosting your website on some host service. You just need to add a html file for it . Google will tell you the specifications. This will be done at once while first option take some time .

4. Now you just need to change your MX settings (which actually point to you mail server) according to google ones .
5. All done , now just activate your mail feature and start using your new email domain like abc@xyz.com , not abc@gmail.com
